Distribution-Southwestern China. Giant Pandas used to be found all throughout China and surrounding areas, but thanks to destruction of their habitat, there are now only between 1,000-1,500 left in the world and they are all found in Southwestern China.
Locations-Tibet-Qinghai Plateau, Central-West and Southwest China. Main populations live in Sichuan, with a few in Shaanxi and Gansu.
Living Requirements- Giant Pandas need to live in rainy, mountainous bamboo forests 4,000-10,000 feet above sea level. An adult pair of giant pandas need about 7,400 acres of bamboo to sustain them.
